Milwaukee is the largest city in the state of Wisconsin and the third-most densely populated metropolitan area in the Midwest. It is surpassed only by Chicago and Detroit. Milwaukee is located west of lake Michigan and 90 miles north of Chicago. Beginning in the early 2000's the city has been undergoing its largest construction boom since the 1960's. Major new additions to the city include the Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee Riverwalk, Miller Park, The Hop (streetcar), etc.

Milwaukee was selected to host the 2020 Democratic National Convention. The convention is expected to have a $200 million economic impact on the region. The goal is to get people to come back to the city after the convention ends.
